Harvester Kids Update: Growing in Faith and Compassion

This  Past Sunday in Harvester Kids, our children discovered just how  powerful prayer can be, especially when we use it to care for others. We  explored the story of the early church praying for Peter while he was  in prison, and how God responded in a miraculous way. (Acts 12:1–19,  focus Verse: 1 Timothy 2:1 – “I urge you, first of all, to pray for all  people.”)

Through  this story, we learned that praying for others is a beautiful way to  show love and join in God’s work of restoration. Each child thoughtfully  chose at least two people to pray for this week. To help them remember  and to spread encouragement, they received a special postcard to give  away to let them know that we are praying for them.

It  was a meaningful moment that reminded our kids they are part of a  loving, praying community. We’re excited to see how their prayers will  bless others this week!

This  Sunday, we’ll continue learning how God calls us to care for one  another. Through the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37),  children will discover what it means to care for others with compassion  and courage even when it’s hard or inconvenient.

We’ll  use hands-on activities and thoughtful discussion to help kids  understand that caring for others isn’t just about being kind, it’s  about reflecting Jesus’ love through our actions.

Thank  you for trusting us with your children and walking alongside us in  their spiritual journey. Watching them grow in faith, prayer, and  understanding each week is a true blessing and we’re honored to be part  of their story.

Blessings,

Pastor Bethany & The Harvester Kids Team
