Harvester has partnered with the Pasco County School District's Students in Transition Team to help children who have been identified as at chronic risk of going hungry over the weekend.
We have committed to putting together (46) one gallon zip lock freezer bags of nonperishable food items each week to provide for these children.

Harvester Community Church supports individuals and groups who wish to plan international ministries. Contact the CHURCH OFFICE for details.

Harvester Community Church supports three sister churches in Cuba with our time, finances and our prayers. Our sister churches are;
Marea de Limones UMC, Pastor Marcos Davila & his family and for the congregation
Niquero UMC, Pastor Arnaldo Peña & his family and for the congregation.
Frey Benito UMC, Pastor Estebon Canete & his family and for the congregation.
The Missions, Outreach and Evangelism Committee will be planning a mission trip to visit our sister churches in Cuba. Check back for further details.

Hello Harvester! If you were in church or watched online this past Sunday, you saw the OCC video and heard me talk (through tears, of course!) about Harvester's participation in this ministry. For the past several years, we've steadily increased the number of boxes we pack, which is such a huge blessing for the children but sometimes a challenge to make sure we have the funds to cover the $10 processing fee for each box. As our numbers increased, so did the funding we needed. Well, this year our situation is a little different . . .
First, one couple, long-time members of Harvester's family, generously wrote a check for $3,000 to cover whatever else we need for this year and to give us a head start on next year! To quote them: "We are honored to take care of this, it's a beautiful ministry and it means so much to the children. It may be their only chance to learn about Jesus!" Praise God!
Second, I was informed that the Finance and Missions teams will be setting aside $4,000 for OCC out of the annual budget for 2026 and the foreseeable future! This ensures that we'll be able to cover 400 shoeboxes each year. We'll still be collecting spare change bottles to supplement this amount for additional processing fees or other costs to the ministry (pre-printed shoeboxes, U-Haul rental, etc.). What a blessing!
So next up is our Harvester Packing Party on Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 pm, starting in Rooms 117-118 and overflowing into the Youth Room. I hope to see you there!
National Collection Week is November 17-24. Harvester is a local drop-off church and we'll be open 2 hours each day to receive boxes from the community. Thanks to those of you who have already signed up for a shift (or two or more), but we'll still need more hands to make this lighter work 🙂 I've reached out to American Legion Post 108 and to our Youth and Scout Troops to see if they want to help out too. The sign-up sheet is on the OCC board in the main hallway if you can help as well. Here are the dates and times we'll be open:
Monday, November 17: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Tuesday, November 18: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Wednesday, November 19: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Thursday, November 20: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Friday, November 21: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturday, November 22: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Sunday, November 23: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Monday, November 24: 8:00 am to 10:00 am
Monthly collections were put on pause as we prepared for both the Craft Fair and our Packing Party. Even so, there are still items on our Amazon Wish List which would be helpful but aren't desperately needed. So please feel free to check out the QR code on our Main board or via the following link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2MJIXAPCEKFDL/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_2
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry!
